Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in running day-to-day operations at our NJ locations. This entry-level management role offers hands-on experience in supervision, coaching, and decision making to drive store performance.

You will lead non-management staff, set goals, monitor performance, and ensure brand standards and policies are followed while delivering strong customer service and positive guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping people learn and grow the business.
• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management associates, assign work, focus on store level operation performance, coach and develop shifts supervisors.
• Be capable of performing duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate and positively influence staff, especially during times of low morale.
• Display strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues in a timely fashion.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
• Maintain awareness of brand standards and procedures to maximize relations with brand/landlord/labor.
• Ensure the restaurant looks clean, inviting, and adheres to brand standards.
• Manage cash, ensure daily processing, and deliver reports per directives.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to foster long-term relationships.
• Verify inventory data with spot counts and checks.
