Job summary

Freudenberg Group is seeking a dedicated production operator to oversee daily operations in the Jeffersonville, IN area. You will lead a team on the line, perform advanced machine operation, assembly, and product inspection, while championing safety and 5S best practices.

You will monitor quality, assist with scrap reduction, participate in training, and ensure adherence to standard work and proper material handling. This role requires reliability and sharp attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent (Bachillerato Educación Media-CR).
• 6+ years of production or assembly experience preferred.
• White Belt certification or above.
• Expert knowledge of equipment, including advanced troubleshooting and optimization.
• Ability to identify process/equipment issues impacting uptime and output and effectively communicate issues to Process or Maintenance personnel.
• Cross-trained to most lines or processes at the site.
• Proficient in using basic math and measurement tools.
• Completes production logs, quality control checklists, incident reports and other applicable production forms or documents.
• Monitor workflow and ensure that quality and production standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of assigned work area, line or cell, ensuring that all team members are performing their tasks efficiently and safely.
• Advanced machine operation, product assembly, and/or inspection of product.
• Safety leader for overall work area including machine safety; guides others in safe practices.
• Responsible for 5S of work areas.
• Responsible for scrap reduction; recommends/drives efforts in this regard.
• Responsible for training/cross-training personnel.
• Provide break coverage when needed.
• Assuring adherence to standard work; Work order/material management.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
