Job summary

Athens Services is looking for an Operations Lead to oversee daily collection routes, uphold safety, and drive efficiency. You will support supervisors, manage paperwork during absences, and help maintain high service standards for customers.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in operations, strong leadership, and solid knowledge of OSHA/DOT regulations, with proficiency in MS Office and clear communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of operations experience required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of OSHA, Federal DOT, and related state/federal regulations.
• Must have leadership, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication abilities required.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisors with paperwork and cover routes in supervisor's absence.
• Ensure efficient and safe operation of all collection routes.
• Engage employees to foster a safe, energetic work environment with feedback and recognition.
• Enforce Athens Services safety rules and report unsafe situations.
• Assist with daily route prep, changes, vehicle replacements, dispatch, and other tasks.
• Assist with training and evaluation of personnel.
• Ensure new employees are trained on policies and equipment use.

• Assist supervisors with route observations.
• Handle special projects and other management duties as assigned.

Summary

Operations Lead assists the operations and its management team to oversee the daily operations of the collection routes to ensure the highest standards of safety and efficiency are followed.

Job Description

• Assist supervisors with any necessary paperwork and is responsible for the collection routes during supervisor’s absence.


• Ensure efficient and safe operation of all collection routes.


• Engage employees to create a safe, energetic work environment through feedback and recognition.


• Enforce Athens Services safety rules and regulations. Reports any unsafe situations to direct supervisor or manager.


• Assists with preparation of daily routes, route changes, vehicle replacements, dispatch duties and other work assigned.


• Assists with training and evaluation of personnel.


• Ensures new employees are trained on general policies, and proper use of assigned equipment.


• Ensure efficient and excellent customer service is provided to all customers.


• Train and re-train new and current employees.


• Assist supervisors with route observations.


• Handles special projects and other related management duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.


• 1 year of operations experience.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.


• Knowledgeable in OSHA, Federal DOT, and other related state and federal regulations.


• Must have demonstrated leadership, problem solving and organizational skills.

  Salary : $27.65- $31.85 per hour


• Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 5:00am - 3:00pm
