Responsibilities
- Provide training and development to all cleaners as necessary.
- Plan and assign work, implement policies and procedures, and recommend improvement in methods, equipment, and working conditions.
- Supervise, promote, and enforce safety rules and regulations.
- Ensure that all jobs are completed on time while maintaining appropriate level of quality.
- Monitor normal housekeeping in the cleaning area on all shifts, and assign cleaners to perform the cleaning as necessary.
- Maintain thorough working knowledge of the Company’s contingency plan for the facility.
- RCRA duties including assisting the Facility Manager in the administration and supervision of all areas of Residual Management.
- Conduct activities related to waste and water management.
- Communicate with customers to ensure deadline compliance.
- Perform the duties of a Tank Cleaner as needed, including properly disassemble, inspect, clean and reassemble tank internally and externally, including vents, valves, clean-out caps, clamps, loading/unloading lines, hoses and other equipment that is to be cleaned as per normal tank cleaning procedure.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree
- 3+ years of supervisory experience; experience in tank wash, transportation, chemical, environmental services, or related industry experience preferred.
- Mechanical ability and inclination.
- Ability to think ahead and plan for scheduling changes and to prepare action plans to achieve results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, decision-making ability, sound judgment, and safety-oriented.
- Must be able to motivate and possess a strong sense of teamwork.
- Ability to speak, read, and understand English for comprehension of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) chemical information.
- Proficiency in MS Office products and Internet.
