Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, is seeking an Operations Internship for May 2027. This part-time role provides exposure to transportation management principles and daily operational tasks within the Supply Chain department.

You will assist with freight planning, asset utilization, safety oversight, and DOT compliance, while supporting driver payroll and logistics analysis in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in good standing at an accredited college or university.
• Able to work 20–25 hours per week during the school semester.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and flexibility with hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist with transportation management principles and daily operational tasks.
• Participate in planning freight, asset utilization, safety management, and DOT compliance.
• Support driver payroll, Customer Value Delivery, and logistics analysis tasks.
• Gain exposure to industry trends and company initiatives related to driver retention.
• Execute account-specific duties as required by the customer.
• Assist in other related duties as assigned.
