Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking an Operations Internship for Summer 2027 in Atlanta, GA. Under close supervision, you will assist with providing transportation and logistics services while gaining exposure to core industry tasks.

The internship requires enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, and the ability to work 20–25 hours per week during the school semester. Preference for adaptable, detail-oriented candidates with Microsoft Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in good standing at an accredited college or university.
• Must be able to work 20-25 hours a week during the school semester.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to basic transportation management principles.
• Participate in daily operational tasks including freight planning, asset utilization, safety management, DOT compliance, driver payroll, logistics management/analysis, driver supervision, P&L management, maintenance coordination.
• Understand industry trends and company initiatives related to driver retention.
• Perform account-specific duties as required by the customer.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
