263629 - Full-time Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Job overview:

Schneider is seeking an Operations Intern in Chicago, IL to provide support to Schneider’s operations team. The Operations Intern will solve problems as they arise and complete administrative processes, while gaining transportation experience.

Responsibilities:

• Work with various systems and programs.
• Work with a variety of teams, including customer service, safety and equipment maintenance.
• Respond to driver phone calls and messages.
• Resolve customer and equipment issues.

Internship-specific opportunities:

• Networking events with Schneider associates.
• Professional skills trainings led by Schneider leaders.
• Business resource groups meetings and events.
• After-work social gatherings.

Skills and qualifications:

• Currently enrolled at a college or university.
• Working toward an associate or bachelor’s degree.
• Able to work full-time over the summer.

Starting wages are $22.10 - $22.60 per hour based on experience.

Additional $1.25/hr (a minimum of 4 continuous hours worked between the hours of 1600-0500 local time)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
