Job summary

Heartland Co-op in Fairfield, IA interns in our regional facility to handle receiving, storage and loading of commodities including grain, fertilizer, chemicals, seed, feed and fuels. You will assist with scale operations, inventory control and routine maintenance while maintaining safety standards in a busy agricultural-attributed environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and commercial insurability.

Responsibilities

• Receive and properly store commodities and products into the facility.
• Load trucks/trailers with products using end loader, forklift, or by hand.
• Assist with scale operation.
• Maintain accurate inventory of commodities and products.
• Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping in elevators, mills, warehouses and shops.
• Prepare barges/railcars for loading and unloads and monitor dock logs.
