Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking an Operations Intern for Fall 2026 in Dallas, TX. The role supports customers with transportation and logistics services under close supervision, with part-time hours during the school year.

Responsibilities include exposure to freight planning, asset utilization, safety, DOT compliance, and payroll tasks. Ideal candidates are junior/senior students who can adapt to a dynamic work environment and work 20–25 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Must be able to work 20-25 hours a week during the school semester.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Junior or Senior level preferred.

Job Summary

Under close supervision, this position will assist with customers on providing transportation/logistics services.

• Perform pertinent account-specific duties as required by customer. - Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program OR graduate degree program in good standing at an accredited community college, college or university.
• Must be able to work 20-25 hours a week during the school semester.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and shifting priorities and directives
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Willingness to work flexible hours
• Junior or Senior level preferred

Compensation

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company's bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
