Job summary

Johnson O’Connor, a regional public accounting firm outside of Boston in Wakefield, MA, offers a Winter Operations Intern position for students pursuing a 4-year degree in accounting/finance. Part-time, paid internship in the Internal Operations Department focusing on finance and HR initiatives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year degree in Business with Finance/Accounting concentration.

• Commit to 10–20 hours per week at Wakefield, MA.

Responsibilities

• Finance: assist with monthly billing, enter accounts payable in Bill.com, support reporting, process daily bank receipts.
• Human Resources: onboarding/ offboarding support, benefits renewal changes, payroll processing assistance.
• Learning & Development: coordinate internal trainings and external CPE activities.
• Additional: assist other operations teammates with ad hoc tasks.

Johnson O’Connor is a regional Public Accounting Firm located outside of Boston in Wakefield, MA. We are seeking a Winter Operations Intern who is currently pursuing a 4-year degree in accounting/finance or similar, to participate in a part-time, paid internship. This position is within our internal Operations Department with a focus on finance and HR initiatives.

Responsibilities

Finance

• Billing – Assist Operations Supervisor with the Firm’s monthly billing process.
• Enter accounts payable in Bill.com.
• Assist with bi-weekly and monthly financial reporting tasks.
• Process daily bank receipts/disbursements in Quickbooks Online.

Human Resources

• Support Operations Supervisors with initiatives including, but not limited to:
  • Assist with the onboarding and deboarding process for employees within ADP.
  • Assist with annual benefit renewal changes and compliance matters.
  • Assist with semi-monthly payroll processing.

Learning & Development

• Coordinate external CPE Training activities and track Employee CPE credits.
• Facilitate all internal trainings.
• Coordinate Work Force Training Reimbursement Applications, where applicable.
• Help with the annual evaluation process and semi-annual evaluations.

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist other operations team members with ad hoc work as requested.
