Job Summary

Assist in the overall manufacturing process including production planning, procurement, job traveler generation, lean manufacturing activities.

Job Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of freshman and sophomore years in a higher education institution.

Skills

• Basic understanding of Lean manufacturing principles
• Basic understanding of manufacturing constraints/bottle necks
• Basic project management skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to details
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Support Program Manager in production planning and job travelers’ generation
• Assist in documenting progress of manufacturing projects and report at meetings regularly
• Work with engineering and manufacturing teams throughout the plant to improve overall process effectiveness
• Performs other duties as assigned

Physical and Mental Efforts

General: Position requires periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; see objects closely; and hear normal sounds with some background noises. Position requires ability to concentrate with some interruption and attend to tasks for 45 to 60 minutes at a time.

Environmental and Working Conditions

Industrial shop setting. Dust, dirt, metal debris from manufacturing will be encountered. Moderate levels of noise will be encountered.
