Sports Force Parks is seeking an Operations Intern to support event management at our Sandusky, OH location. Gain hands-on experience coordinating tournaments, working with a Sports Manager, and learning back-end procedures for successful events.

Housing may be provided; interns will learn retail operations, community partnerships, marketing, and guest services while contributing to a busy event schedule from March through November.

Qualifications

• College student studying Sport and Event Management, Hospitality, Communications, Marketing, or related fields.
• Experience in working with guests in a customer service environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent writing skills.
• Proactive nature and reliability.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Ability to work weekends.
• Being responsible and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Event Management and Event Planning.
• Understand day-to-day tournament operating procedures from back-end.
• Assist Sports Managers and staff in tournament preparation.
• Be present to ensure tournament operations run smoothly.
• Work with seasonal staff and motivate team members.
• Perform routine facility walk-throughs to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Work across multiple locations as needed.
• Learn all aspects of operating a retail business.
• Foster partnerships with community groups, tournaments, or park sponsors.
• Market tournaments to teams and organizations.
• Support Social Media and Guest Services responsibilities.
• Support Field Maintenance responsibilities.

About Property

Sports Force Parks is a multi-use sports complex located in Sandusky, Ohio. We host more than 40 events each year with our operating season running from March - November. Most of our tournaments are baseball and softball, but we also host soccer, lacrosse, and football. Sports Force Parks is under the ownership of Unrivaled Sports, a leader in the youth sports industry.

Position Summary

Operations Interns have the opportunity to develop professionally at one of the best sports parks in the region. Our staff will provide interns with valuable learning experiences while meeting specific course requirements.

Operations Interns are responsible for the organization and operation of events at Sports Force Parks. Operations Interns will be under the supervision of a full-time Sports Manager.

Housing can be provided by Sports Force Parks.
