Operations Infrastructure Lead (Tier II) Washington, DC, USA Full Time

A premier strategic services firm that meets IT and service needs for commercial and government clients is seeking a full-time Operations Infrastructure Lead (Tier II). This position is based in Washington, DC.

The Operations Infrastructure Team Lead is a hands-on role requiring troubleshooting skills and the ability to mentor technical team members. The candidate should be familiar with industry best practices and implementing a least privileged access model.

ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE PREFERRED

Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor system and network performance
  2. Troubleshoot systems/network issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  3. Administer Windows Active Directory, Group Policies, and Certificate Services
  4. Manage Azure Active Directory services
  5. Oversee Intune Mobile Device Management
  6. Manage Citrix and remote access solutions
  7. Handle Multi-factor authentication, Single Sign-On, and Smart Card (PIV) services
  8. Manage PIV card certificates and credential mapping, enforcing PIV authentication for staff
  9. Manage Network Attached Storage (NAS) and network shares
  10. Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation
  11. Participate in Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery planning, building, and testing, including network security, performance, and hardware acquisition
  12. Perform maintenance tasks such as system backups, validation, image management, event log reviews, vulnerability mitigation, and compliance
  13. Document all actions, practices, procedures, and processes
Experience:
  1. Coordinate and manage diverse technical support tasks
  2. Evaluate new IT systems and their environmental impact
  3. Manage private PKI infrastructure
  4. Develop secure automated solutions using scripting languages like PowerShell
  5. Manage lifecycle of supported systems
  6. Create automated packages for system deployment and configuration
Qualifications and Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field
  2. Minimum of 8 years of IT experience
  3. At least two of the following certifications:
    • CompTIA A+
    • CompTIA Network+
    • CompTIA Security+
    • MCSA: Windows 10
    • MCSE: Desktop Infrastructure
  4. ITIL or equivalent quality certification
  5. Active Security Clearance
