Job summary

Aramark in Chicago is seeking an Operations Finance Analyst at McCormick Place to prepare financial and operating reports and perform financial analysis under the unit controller. You will help maximize profit by strengthening internal controls, managing inventories, cash, and equipment, and collaborating with site leadership.

• Minimum 2-3 years of progressive financial experience including AP/AR, payroll, and P&L management.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Strong budgeting, cost controls and monthly reporting experience.
• Adhering to GAAP and strong financial controls.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail under deadlines.
• Excel proficiency and ability to diagnose process improvements.
• Willingness to work event-based hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership to improve margins.
• Financial planning and analysis: create annual forecast/budget by venue, create weekly/monthly/annual financial reports.
• Accountable for Cash Flow, Cash and Banking, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Capital Expenditures.
• Weekly/Monthly reporting – including analyses to corporation and operators with SMART actions.
• Audits/Contract Compliance – including SOX with internal auditors.
• Maintain financial records in adherence with policies and regulations.
• Train and develop finance and operations teams on financial acumen.
• Client communication – including systems, reporting, and program changes.
• Assist in operational support as directed by FP&A leadership.
• Develop proformas for new business and revenue growth opportunities.
• Performs regional/account duties as directed by the Director of FP&A.

Job Description

As a Operations Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for the preparation of financial and operating reports, conducting and document financial analysis projects. The Unit Controller will work directly with the lead operator at the account and enforce procedures that maximize profit by ensuring operational targets, internal control of inventories, cash, and equipment.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Salaried rate for this position is $85,000.00 to $95,000.00, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

• Highly collaborative with leadership and communicate key levers to improve margins

• Maintain all financial records and reports in adherence with Aramark’s Business Conduct Policy and all local, state, and federal regulations and codes
• Train and develop finance and operations teams on financial acumen and policies
• Client Communication (as applicable) – including systems, reporting, and changes to the program
• Assist in operational support as needed with direction from Good Uncle Leadership/Regional Finance Director
• Develop proformas for new business and revenue growth opportunities
• Performs regional and account related duties as directed by the Director of FP&A

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of progressive financial experience required, including AP/AR, payroll, and P&L management
• Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• Ability to work closely with a team in budgeting, cost controls and monthly reporting is critical.
• Adhering to generally accepted accounting practices and observing all financial controls and processes is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work under strict deadlines are essential
• Must be organized, demonstrate initiative and have ability to diagnose current state and achieve process improvement
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills required
• Candidate must be willing to work event-based hours that include evenings andweekends

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
