Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Savannah is seeking an Operations Engineer 3 to provide technical support to manufacturing operations, develop streamlined processes, and mentor entry-level OE staff. The role interfaces with suppliers and internal teams to optimize production and drive continuous improvement.

The candidate will apply Lean principles, lead cross-functional projects, and contribute to safety, sustainability, and business continuity initiatives within a complex aerospace manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or related field; 4 years related experience.
• Experience in manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret 3D models and engineering data.
• Knowledge of RCCA and lean manufacturing concepts.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain detailed work instructions; drive quality and efficiency improvements.
• Perform RCCA analysis on quality defects; ensure first-pass quality.
• Analyze operations; define equipment/tooling needs to optimize production.
• Lead/planning of manufacturing engineering projects for process development.
• Participate in Design for Manufacturability assessments with Engineering.
• Train OE staff; support safety and business continuity.
