Job summary

Insight Global seeks an Operations Engineer to support a leading drilling organization in Houston. This hands-on role focuses on rig modifications, equipment upgrades, capital projects, and daily operational support across surface drilling assets.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in heavy industrial environments, a P.E. designation (or in progress), and 3D design expertise with Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks, plus strong communication with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in operations, drilling, mining, heavy construction, or other heavy industrial environments.
• P.E. designation or in progress.
• 5+ years of 3D design experience using Autodesk Inventor (preferred) or SolidWorks.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with operations teams, field personnel, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support field operations and drive engineering improvements across surface drilling assets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to solve equipment challenges.
• Balance multiple priorities while delivering practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
