Job summary

Swire Coca-Cola in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern for a summer program (May–August 2027). You will support daily production activities and help drive improvements on the line.

The role focuses on identifying losses, analyzing performance data, and developing standard work and processes to build long-term capability within the manufacturing system. Ideal candidates are pursuing engineering degrees and available for full-time summer work.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Process, Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial).
• Graduation date Aug 2027 or later.
• Available to work full-time for the duration of the summer (May – August 2027).
• Must not require sponsorship to legally work in the U.S. (i.e., H-1B, TN, OPT, CPT, O-1, E-3, or any other work visas), now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prioritize, analyze, and eliminate losses and inefficiencies
• Collaborate with the Line Structure Teams to carry forward and execute improvements
• Assist in analyzing line performance including run rates, scrap rates, unplanned and planned down times, and any other operational losses including Safety and Quality opportunities
• Identify 1-3 actions to reduce these losses and create a project charter and scope for each action
