Job summary

Perricone Farms is hiring a CDL Driver for the Fort Pierce facility to operate trucks, support the Extraction team, and move materials in a fast-paced citrus production environment.

The role requires a Class A CDL and DOT certification, English fluency, and forklift operation. The position offers a 3rd shift schedule Mon-Sat 7pm–5am with competitive benefits including health, vision, dental, life, and a 401K.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year related experience preferred.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Current Class A CDL license and DOT certification required.
• Ability to operate forklift and truck equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks for hauling, storage and access for production staff.
• Move trailers within yard and to on-site or off-site cooler locations daily.
• Weigh station duties and dump trailer relocation as needed.
• Operate fruit unloading ramp and clean unloading area.
• Load and unload drums and materials with forklift; use electric pallet jack as required.
• Maintain truck logs per state and federal regulations.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment.
• Adhere to GMPs and SQF, USDA, HACCP standards to prevent cross-contamination.
• Report unsafe conditions to supervisor and assist in safety improvements.

This is a dynamic role that provides long-term, stable employment along with a competitive benefits package, including but not limited to health, vision, dental, life insurance, and a 401K plan.Pay Rate: $23 - 24.50 per hour + Shift DifferentialSchedule: 3rd Shift Monday – Saturday @ 7pm to 5amSummary:Responsible for operating trucks for the purpose of hauling, storage and accessibility. Assist with the needs of the Extraction team through various projects.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Daily, ensure trailers are in place for production staff to access materials easily.Daily, move trailers to and from yard to on site and off site cooler locations.As needed take truck/trailers to weigh station.Bring dump trailer around to pavement to empty trash receptacles.As needed, operate fruit unloading ramp.As needed, clean up fruit unloading area.Operate forklift to load and unload drums, materials and other production items as needed.Maintain a level of professionalism in attitude with staff.Daily, ensure that you operate the trucks, forklift and other machinery, such as the electric pallet jack safely.Assist in other areas of production as directed by Production Leads, Manager or other supervisory staff.Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations.Maintains telephone contact with supervisor to receive pick up and delivery instructions.Loads and unloads trucks.Performs pre and post trip inspections prior to include checking truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.As needed performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, and spark plugs.Daily, adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).Understands and complies with regulatory standards and certifications such as SQF, USDA and HACCP.Ensure that all SQF, Organic, Non-GMO procedures are followed to prevent cross -contamination.In the event that Food and/or Employee safety is jeopardized, you are responsible for reporting unsafe conditions and/or acts to supervisor immediately.If possible, attempt to remedy the unsafe condition and/or act.Adheres to and enforces company policies and safety regulations.Responsible for understanding, complying and implementing company policies and procedures.Responsible for ensuring the proper use of all machinery and creating a safe work environment.Food Safety Requirements/Responsibilities:Comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.Organizational Relationships:Position reports to Operations Manager.High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education.Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.Current Class A License and DOT certification.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
