Job summary

Loomis US is seeking an hourly branch operations associate in New York to help enforce policy across Hempstead and Manhattan, assist with monthly reporting, and support risk management activities.

The role is full-time, with a typical 40–50 hour workweek and some travel to NYC offices. Training in security and firearms qualifications provided; opportunities for career growth are emphasized by Loomis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; willingness to learn and grow in security operations.
• Background in accounting/logistics is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company policy across Loomis operations in Hempstead and Manhattan.
• Collaborate with operations staff on timeliness and accuracy of monthly commitments and reports.
• Report discrepancies or policy violations to upper management.
• Assist risk managers in internal audit preparations.
• Support branch operations staff with daily tasks and security procedures.
• Assist customers as needed to resolve issues.

Pay Rate

$23.70 per hour

Shift Start Time

8:30 AM

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all company policy over three Loomis operations (Hempstead and Manhattan)
• Work closely with operations staff on timeliness and accuracy of monthly commitments and reports.
• Report directly to upper management any discrepancies or violations of company policy
• Works with corporate risk managers to prepare for internal audit (s)
• Assist branch operations staff with various tasks as they arise
• Assist with security and safety procedures as it relates to the branch
• Assist customers if tasked to correct problems
• Other duties as assigned by management to include but limited to assisting key management personnel with daily tasks not listed above

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• Ability to work different shifts if needed
• A valid firearms permit or ability to pass applicable firearms requirements preferred but not required
• College degree and background in accounting/logistics preferred but not required
• Loomis will pay for security and firearms qualifications, licensing and permitting

Working Conditions

• Full-time schedule potentially consists of an average of 40 to 50 hours/week, with minimum of 5 days
• Majority of the work will be in an office setting but will require local travel and some work outside of office ensuring compliance including trips to NYC office

• Ability to identify and maintain confidential matters in all aspects of the business
• Courteous and professional communications skills, demonstrate good work ethics in a professional manner to fellow employees and customers
• Follow verbal and written instructions
• Computer experience, proficient use of MS Office to include Excel, ability to use office equipment not limited to computers, fax and copy machine
• Data entry skills
• Unrestricted wrist, hand and finger dexterity
• Unrestricted ability to bend, squat, stoop, stand, walk, lift (up to 50 lbs.), sit, push and pull
• Accuracy and speed sufficient to meet the company policy for debriefing
