Job summary

Tri County Transportation Inc. is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to advance our operations team with sound management and a safety-first approach.

You will support department managers, dispatchers, drivers and attendants, ensure timely service delivery, and foster a positive work environment. The role requires at least three years in transportation, a Class B CDL with School Bus and Passenger endorsements (company will cover costs), and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of transportation working experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of DOT and Safety regulations preferred.
• Ability to supervise and train staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure teams know their assigned duties daily.
• Provide open communication for transparency.
• Support managers, dispatchers, drivers, attendants, and other staff.
• Train employees on new programs and provide coaching for safety and compliance.
• Analyze reports and data for accuracy.

About the Role

Tri County Transportation Inc. The Assistant Operation Manager will help move the operations team forward using sound management techniques and create an environment of success and positive reinforcement. Helping department managers and teams succeed in their daily tasks and ensuring timely delivery of services while maintaining a constant focus on safety are of paramount importance to the Assistant Manager role.

Responsibility Profile

• Ensure teams know their assigned job duties and responsibilities on a daily basis.
• Provide open communication to team members for transparency and mutual understanding.
• Help employees be successful in completing their daily tasks.
• Provide support to other managers, dispatchers, drivers, attendants, and other employees.
• Train employees on new programs as necessary.
• Provide feedback and coaching as necessary to ensure employees remain safe and compliant.
• Analyze reports and data to ensure accuracy.
• Attend meetings, conferences, and company events as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of transportation working experience or equivalent.
• Must obtain a class B CDL with School Bus and Passenger.
• We will cover all costs to obtain.
• One (1) year of supervisory experience is preferred.
• High School Diploma.
• Knowledge of DOT and Safety regulations preferred.
