Operations Director, Asia Region (Remote)

Division Overview

The Thermal Ceramics division designs, manufactures, and installs thermal insulation products that reduce energy consumption and emissions in high-temperature processing applications.

Responsibilities

• Report and review manufacturing & operational performance, including capacity utilization, working capital, costs, quality, logistics, and order fulfillment.
• Evaluate and implement re-engineering, contract manufacturing, and outsourcing strategies.
• Organize programs to enhance customer satisfaction regarding quality, delivery, and service.
• Build partnerships with suppliers to optimize supply chain performance and procurement.
• Support Sales and Operations planning to improve on-time delivery and optimize inventory.
• Oversee capital expenditure projects, ensuring alignment with regional strategy and goals.
• Review operations strategies and budgets for regional clusters and sites.
• Implement systems for on-time, cost-effective project execution and manage project delivery.
• Manage the region’s EHS programs to meet improvement goals.
• Identify opportunities for competitive advantage through equipment, processes, or acquisitions.
• Coach operations team members to enhance performance and develop talent.
• Collaborate with the Regional EHS leader to achieve ESG goals.

Qualifications

• MBA or postgraduate degree in business management; Mechanical or Process Engineering background preferred.
• Experience as Operations Director or similar leadership role.
• Leadership in related industries, preferably in Asia.
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects and operational improvements.
• Strong business finance acumen and commercial mindset.
• Experience in decentralized business models and operational improvement tools like Six Sigma, 5S, VSM.
