Job description

Location: 467 W Fairground St Marion, OH 43302

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated, hands-on individual to support the continued growth and development of our steel fabrication and hot-dip galvanizing operations.

This position is designed for someone who enjoys solving problems, developing ideas, improving processes, and taking ownership of projects from start to finish. Working across both facilities, this individual will support a variety of initiatives based on the company's operational needs and future growth.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and turn ideas into practical solutions. Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is important, while experience with AutoCAD, CNC programming, and project management is beneficial. The ability and willingness to learn new technical skills are equally valuable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects involving process improvements, production efficiency, new capabilities, and facility development.
  • Identify production challenges and develop practical, long-term solutions.
  • Work with employees and management to improve manufacturing processes, workflow, and material handling.
  • Create or modify AutoCAD drawings, CNC files, and other manufacturing documentation, or develop the skills necessary to do so.
  • Assist with evaluating and implementing new equipment, products, technologies, and production methods.
  • Coordinate projects across both facilities and work with various departments to achieve project goals.
  • Track project progress, communicate results, and ensure projects are completed effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and take initiative in developing solutions.
  • Perform other project and operational development responsibilities as business needs evolve.
Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, maintenance, engineering support, or another industrial environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage projects, organize priorities, and work independently.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with employees at all levels.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, CNC programming, or manufacturing processes is preferred.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, develop technical skills, and take on new responsibilities.
  • Ability to work at both facilities in Ohio.
  • Relevant hands-on experience and demonstrated ability may be considered in place of formal education.
The Opportunity

This is an opportunity for someone who wants to do more than perform the same tasks every day. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute ideas, lead projects, develop new skills, and play an active role in shaping the future of our manufacturing operations.

We are looking for someone with initiative, curiosity, and a genuine desire to grow alongside the company.

Physical Requirements:
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to work in office and production environments using required PPE.
  • Most of the time will be in an office environment but occasionally production floor environment.
  • Use of PPE is mandatory to ensure safety.
