Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Operations Quality Data Analytics group. You will build predictive and prescriptive models using statistical and ML methods, oversee end-to-end delivery of data science applications, and collaborate with cross-functional partners across the organization.

You will mentor junior team members, ensure data integrity for stakeholders, and drive innovative analytics while complying with GMPs, SOPs and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in statistics, math, analytics or related field with 4+ years (BS), 2+ years (MS) or 0+ years (PhD) of related experience.
• Proficiency in Python or R; knowledge of data mining techniques.
• Experience with visualization tools like PowerBI, Spotfire, Tableau or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Operate cross-functionally with fellow data scientists, senior functional leaders, and business partners.
• Consult with users to analyze requirements and recommend solutions anticipating changing needs.
• Develop advanced data analytics models using supervised/unsupervised ML, statistics, deep learning and predictive modeling.
• Mentor and coach team members while collaborating with other data science groups.
• Ensure data presented to stakeholders maintains study integrity and supports multiple use cases.
• Support process improvements and ensure adherence to relevant regulations and quality standards.
