Position Summary

This is a full-time position performing routine housekeeping and changeover tasks on an as-needed basis to prepare for events at the facility. Most work is performed in public spaces with exposure to the general public. There is no regular schedule, and the candidate must be able to work a variable shift with irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Reports To: Operations Manager

Supervises: No-one

FLSA: Full-Time Hourly/Non-Exempt

Pay rate: $16/hr

Major Responsibilities
  • Perform housekeeping tasks such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning, trash removal, carpet extraction, and glass cleaning.
  • Perform setup, breakdown, and changeover tasks as needed.
  • Participate in all aspects of the conversion process in preparation for events, including setting up and tearing down tables, chairs, dance floors, staging, and other furnishings and equipment.
  • Perform duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility are met, including loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash, and replenishing supplies.
  • Report irregularities, safety concerns, damage, or property loss promptly to the Operations Manager.
  • Perform light maintenance repairs on event setup and cleaning equipment using hand and power tools.
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, vertical lifts, golf carts, and other motorized vehicles, or complete certification within 45 days of starting.
  • Read and understand event notes written in English.
Working Conditions

Work is performed in a fast-paced environment requiring multi-tasking and meeting overlapping deadlines. Extended and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, are required. Must be able to walk extended distances for 8-10 hours daily and climb stairs. Physical ability to lift 50-75 lbs. is necessary.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work well with others.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks effectively under pressure.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends as required.
  • Mechanical aptitude is helpful.
