Job summary

Grey Eagle Distributors in Fenton, MO is seeking a Route Planner to route orders for next-day delivery and support delivery and warehouse operations. You will use VIP/Roadnet routing software and coordinate loading to ensure accurate case placement for pickers.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, is 21+, and can work Sundays through Thursdays 12:30 PM–9:00 PM with overtime as needed. Distribution experience, valid driver's license, and strong problemsolving and communication

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ to comply with liquor regulations.
• Shift is Sunday through Thursday 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
• Some overtime will be required.
• Distribution experience preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must meet state age requirements.
• Valid driver license.
• Highly self-motivated with a positive attitude.
• Highly organized with ability to manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Route orders for next-day delivery using VIP, Roadnet routing software.
• Use truck loading software after routing and place contents in correct bays for pickers.
• Identify issues/solutions to enhance operations.
• Answer phones from internal and external customers.
• Support all delivery and warehouse operations as needed.
• Supervise night loader, driver and day warehouse union employees.
• Establish daily manpower requirements for loading and delivery drivers.
• Work within the current collective bargaining agreement.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Job Location: Fenton - Fenton, MO 63026, Annual Salary up to $50,000 - Depending on Experience

Department: Operations

Position reports to: Operations Manager

Primary Purpose and Function of Position

Responsible for routing orders for next day delivery while supporting all delivery & warehouse departmental functions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Route orders for next day delivery utilizing VIP, Roadnet routing software


• Utilize truck loading software after routing is complete and place all contents in the correct bays for the case pickers to execute


• Assist with identifying any issues/ideas/solutions that will enhance the operation.


• Answer phones as necessary from customers, both internal and external


• Support all delivery and warehouse operations as needed


• Supervise night loader, driver and day warehouse union employees.


• Establish daily manpower requirements for loading and delivery drivers


• Work within the parameters of the current collective bargaining agreement.


• Other duties as needed
