Operations Coordinator, Cell & Gene - Marken
Join UPS as an Operations Coordinator, Cell & Gene - Marken.
Job Purpose: Support the Cell & Gene Operations Team in developing operational capabilities in Cell & Gene Therapy logistics to ensure high customer service, quality, and satisfaction.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Support daily operations of the Cell and Gene team and coordinate with Control Tower Coordinators regarding shipments.
- Use technology for shipment monitoring and management.
- Coordinate with LSPs, branches, and depots for shipment solutions.
- Manage packaging, equipment, and trained operatives according to project specifications.
- Dispatch drivers for collections and deliveries, ensuring timely and compliant documentation.
- Work with regulatory teams for trade compliance on shipments.
- Book shipments with airlines and integrators for optimal routing.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of shipments with airlines and ground facilities.
- Label and prepare shipments for export, including heavy lifting if needed, and meet airline cut-offs.
- Maintain accurate data entry in Marken’s Maestro system for all shipments.
- Send pre-alerts and communicate with all stakeholders regarding shipment status.
- Perform pre- and post-flight checks and handle delays or issues.
- Escalate issues to management as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in customer service operations, preferably in international air freight, logistics, or distribution.
- Experience in export, import, and transport preferred.
- Experience in pharmaceutical and clinical trial logistics preferred.
- Attention to quality and detail.
- Strong customer focus.
- Team player, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Word.
Additional Information: This is a full-time, permanent role based in the U.S. with a pay range of $17.10/hr to $27.75/hr. UPS offers comprehensive benefits and is an equal opportunity employer.
