What you can expect as an Operations Coordinator at West Star:

This position provides planning support for the Production Departments. The Operations Coordinator will assist with planning, scheduling, and monitoring production activities, including creating work packages, and parts coordination. This position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail; advanced knowledge of Word, Outlook, and Excel, as well as strong communication skills.

You Will Be ESSENTIAL To Many FUNCTIONS Including
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
  • Entering discrepancies into Corridor as needed.
  • Sort and organize paperwork at aircraft, such as parts traceability, completed work cards, log entries, and burn certifications, as applicable.
  • Assist with parts ordering, prior to aircraft arrival if necessary, and throughout the project as well as following through with parts arrival status in coordination with the Purchasing team.
  • Coordinating with vendors for repairs and services.
  • Material quantity tracking for Completions projects.
  • Once SOF comes through; adds to Program Manpower Sheet and assigns Lead to WO
  • Create project folder adding the SOF to the folder and interior pictures when done
  • Schedules and attends kick off meeting. Takes notes and adds item 1 milestones
  • Schedules or attends debrief when the plane comes in and adds customer squawks to the WOQ
  • Add cards to WOQ that may not have been on the SOF or customer requested to be added
  • Order’s long lead time parts for jobs when advised date by Leads
  • Build work packages by printing cards, stickers for the AC, print squawk bar code sheet for clocking in/out and creating the Red Books
  • Reviews WO books for squawks generated from inspections and adds into WOQ; advises Leads, Project Manager and Program Manager when completed so they can enter estimates.
  • Processes cores to go to the cores team to send out
  • Pull Cores Owed to Vendor lists to update cores for any needed extensions
  • Process RTS parts to be returned to stock
  • Deliver parts to the floor for AC
  • Requests POs for services going out for repair/service
  • Ship out customer property when needed
  • Print out Tool Box Audit sheets for leads monthly
  • Organize completed cards at the end of the project by squawk number; stamp times/cycles and dates and turn in to QA for RTS
  • Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English
  • Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management
What you’ll need to bring with you:
  • A High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
Your Experience
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Office products to include Excel.
  • Extensive office and administrative support experience.

Compensation & Benefit Information

The following information is disclosed according to state specific requirements. If the position applied to is not in a state with these requirements, the following information may not apply. The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $23-$30. Actual hourly rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package. Other forms of compensation include a semi-annual discretionary bonus, 401(k) company match and employer contribution to a Health Savings Account (HSA).
