Job summary

Markit! Forestry Management, LLC seeks an administrative professional to join the operations team in Flagstaff, AZ. You will assist in the shop, office, and on project locations, handling supply orders, documentation, and coordination to keep projects moving smoothly.

The role includes supporting field crews, shop management, HR and safety tasks, travel scheduling, and maintaining equipment and records. Strong communication, organization, and computer skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assist field crews with supply, parts, and tool ordering and delivery.
  • Support Shop Manager with vendor research, maintenance scheduling, and equipment logistics.
  • Assist HR and Safety with onboarding, trainings, PPE, and systems setup.
  • Aid Operations and Project Management with project binders and travel planning.
  • Contribute to business development and maintain database accuracy.

Job description

In this position, you will be a member of Markit!’s operations team and you will be working to help administer operations in the shop, office, and on project locations.

Location: The companyoffice and shop are in Flagstaff, AZ but projects may be located throughout the states of Arizona and New Mexico.

Duties:
  • Support field crews and mechanics with:
    • Supply ordering and delivery
    • Parts ordering and delivery
    • Tool ordering and delivery
    • Systems troubleshooting
  • Support the Shop Manager with:
    • Vendor research and setup
    • Equipment maintenance scheduling and setup
    • Equipment mobilization logistics
    • Vehicle and equipment registration
    • Equipment inspection tracking
    • Inventory ordering, counts, maintenance and reporting
  • Support HR and Safety with:
    • New hire paperwork and onboarding
    • Systems setup and training
    • Periodic trainings and testing
    • PPE issuance
  • Support Operations and Project Management by:
    • Assembling project binders
    • Scheduling travel needs
    • Other items as needed
  • Assist with Business Development tasks as needed.
  • Database support.
  • Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Markit! Safety Policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Excellent organizational and motivational skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal ability.
  • High Proficiency in Microsoft, Google Suite, and Adobe Acrobat software.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Advanced knowledge of office machinery and cellular devices including computer, copier, tablet, and cell phone.
  • Travel to project sites throughout the states of Arizona and New Mexico, other states as needed.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license. Due to various worksites, having reliable transportation is a MUST.
Preferred Background & Experience:
  • Experience in the forestry and/or construction industry is preferred
  • Knowledge of GIS based applications, map development and data management.
  • 2-5 years administrative experience
