Job summary

CREMER North America, LP is seeking an Operations Controller reporting to the Senior Director of Finance - Americas. in Finance/Accounting or equivalent. 5–10 years in finance/accounting within a manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance - Americas, the Operations Controller is responsible for controlling operations costs and providing visibility to management on variances. The position will work with the operations teams in order ensure costs and risks are adequately identified and measures are put in place to address. The position will work closely with the inventory teams to ensure accurate counts, analyze variances and coordinate corrective actions. The position will work closely with operations teams in maintenance of KPI’s.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

B.A. or B.S degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Kind & Length of Experience
  • 5-10 years of experience in accounting/finance in a Manufacturing environment.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS
  • Manage spending with operations managers to ensure costs remain within budget.
  • Coordinate with Inventory teams to investigate material variances and implement corrective actions.
  • Communicate with personnel throughout the organization to ensure that financial implications of quality and operations KPIs are well understood
  • Work with quality team to improve visibility of non-conforming materials and ensure timely disposition
  • Continuously review processes to identify waste and opportunities for improvement
  • Work with Production teams to improve organizational visibility into manufacturing information
  • Work with Purchasing team to identify priority areas for negotiation and improved spend controls
  • Ensure that management has timely visibility into operations performance and expectations
  • Coordinate with IT to improve the utilization of the company’s ERP system
  • Assist with accounting to ensure timely and accurate financial information.
  • Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards;
  • Safeguard Confidential information regarding all company affairs;
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies;
  • In your absence you are to ensure that the tasks assigned to you are adequately covered by trained personnel. You are responsible to communicate and work with your manager to ensure your workload is covered when you are out;
  • Allocate resources to achieve goals, objectives and programs;
  • Adhere to all Environmental, Health, Safety, Security Requirements covered under Local State and Federal Regulations;
  • Maintain Hazardous waste in accordance to all Local, State, and Federal Regulations;
  • Other duties as assigned
