Position overview: The operations manager is responsible for analyzing, improving, and streamlining internal workflows to enhance organizational effectiveness. They will identify inefficiencies, reduce pain points, and implement practical solutions.

Time commitment: This is a short-term/project-based position

Communications: As a small team of dedicated volunteers working remotely around the world, we rely on a variety of online tools to communicate with each other. This includes Slack for discussions, Zoom for meetings, Trello for project management, Google Drive for sharing documents, and a few shared mailboxes for organization-related emails.

Your responsibilities:

  • Evaluate current processes and collaborate with staff to understand challenges and pain points
  • Identify ways to increase efficiency and reduce redundancy
  • Develop and implement streamlined workflows
  • Identify technology or platforms to improve efficiency and/or productivity, if needed
  • Ensure process documentation is up to date, accurate, and easy to understand
  • Experience in operations, project management, or process improvement
  • Experience with non-profit organizations strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Proficiency with workflow management tools and platforms
  • Prior experience working with a remote team using Slack, Zoom, Trello, and Google Drive
