Job summary

American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. is seeking an Operations Clerk for its Ottawa, KS distribution center. You will monitor inbound/outbound inventory, perform audits, and resolve discrepancies from a workstation using computer-based applications.

You will assist with material handling and merchandise processing in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, strong data entry and communication skills, and proficiency with Google Docs/Sheets

Qualifications

• Experience in distribution center operations or similar warehouse environment.
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in Google Docs/Sheets or MS Office Suite and internet applications.
• Strong data entry and computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate paperwork to match merchandise processing functions.
• Enter data and retrieve information using warehouse management systems; track and audit results.
• Communicate daily with related departments, vendors and Home Office by phone and email.

• Assist in physical and cycle count inventories.
• Maintain a safe work environment and safe practices.
• Meet or exceed business targets while balancing short and long-term results.
