Job summary

DeWinter Group is seeking an Operations Business Intelligence Analyst to transform ERP and operational data into actionable insights for Manufacturing and Operations teams in Watertown, MA. You will develop dashboards, KPIs, and management reports to guide inventory, material planning, purchasing, and supply chain decisions.

Responsibilities include data extraction from ERP/MES systems (Epicor, Aegis, MiSys), SQL databases, and other business systems, plus creating recurring and ad hoc reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business/analytics/engineering or related field.
• Strong Excel and Power BI capabilities for modeling and dashboards.
• Proficiency in SQL and data extraction from ERP/MES systems.
• Experience building reports and executive dashboards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Operations Business Intelligence Analyst (Direct Hire)

About The Role

We are seeking an Operations Business Intelligence Analyst to support Manufacturing and Operations teams by transforming ERP and operational data into actionable insights. This role will develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting tools that drive decision-making across inventory planning, material planning, purchasing, and supply chain operations.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain operational dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting tools.
• Extract, analyze, validate, and interpret data from ERP/MES platforms (Epicor, Aegis, MiSys), SQL databases, and other business systems.
• Drive insights and recommendations for inventory analysis, material planning, purchasing, and supply chain decision-making.
• Analyze inventory shortages, excess inventory, supplier performance, lead times, and manufacturing performance.
• Perform BOM comparisons, cost analysis, product costing reviews, and material usage reporting.
• Create recurring and ad hoc reports for Operations and Executive Leadership.
• Identify trends, anomalies, risks, and opportunities through data analysis.
• Support process improvement initiatives through data-driven recommendations.
• Improve reporting efficiency through automation and streamlined reporting processes.
• Ensure reporting accuracy and data integrity across systems.
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Finance, and Leadership teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Advanced Power BI skills.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience working with ERP systems and operational data.
• Experience building reports, dashboards, and management reporting tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Epicor ERP experience.
• Manufacturing environment experience.
• MES experience (including Aegis).
• Experience participating in ERP, MES, or other enterprise software implementations.
• Tableau experience.
• Python experience.
• Inventory planning and supply chain analytics experience.
• Manufacturing reporting and operational analytics experience.
