Job summary

Continental Battery Systems is seeking an Auto Technician (Golf Carts) to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair batteries of all sizes. This role may involve field service at customer sites and occasional deliveries, with forklift and material handling responsibilities as part of daily tasks.

Qualified candidates will have AA degree or equivalent and at least 1 year of related experience, plus knowledge of battery products and safe handling practices.

Qualifications

• AA Degree or equivalent; 3.0 GPA preferred.
• 1 year working as a WA for the Company, or 1 year working as an Automotive Technician or equivalent elsewhere.
• Knowledge on battery product and equipment is significant.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, repair and replace batteries of all sizes.
• Perform field service, including driving to customer destinations.
• Perform light maintenance and warehouse tasks (shipping, receiving, inventory).
• Safely recover used batteries and record procedures.
• May perform occasional deliveries to support customer relationships.
• Operate forklifts and handle materials following safety practices.

Title: Auto Technician (Golf Carts)

Reports To: Typically reports to the Branch Manager
Classification: Full-Time/Part-Time, Regular, Non-Exempt Exclusively
Normal Hours: Commonly an 8-hour shift scheduled between 7 AM and 6 PM, Monday-Friday with occasional weekends

General Description

A person in this position is responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and replacement of batteries of all sizes. Knowledge on battery product and equipment, policies and procedures is significant. Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customers' needs which may require driving to customer destination (field service). Performs light, preventative maintenance, automotive mechanic work. This person is also responsible to safely recover used batteries, perform warehouse tasks associated with shipping, receiving, loading, inventory control, and battery maintenance, and records the successful processes and procedures required to carry out all functions. May perform occasional deliveries to support the customer relationship. Experience with safe forklift driving practices and material handling equipment and processes is significant. Excellence is demonstrated consistently and process improvements are contributed.

Minimum Qualifications

Formal Training (courses, degrees, and credentials required):

• AA Degree or equivalent; 3.0 or higher GPA preferred

Experience (type and amount of experience required):

• Meeting the below KSAVs and
• Minimum 1 year working as a WA for the Company, or
• Minimum 1 year working as an Automotive Technician or equal, elsewhere
