Reports to: Community Manager

Hours: Part-time: 20 hours per week

Compensation: Hourly, starts at $23.50 per hour + commuter benefits

Location: Tacoma, WA

Growth Opportunities: TPC promotes from within. Part-time employees are eligible to apply for full-time roles as they become available.

Schedule
  • Mondays 8:00am - 4:30pm (8 hours)
  • Tuesdays 8:00am - 12pm or 1:00pm - 5:00pm (4 hours)
  • Thursdays 8:00am - 12pm (4 hours) or 1:00pm - 5:00pm (4 hours)
  • Fridays 8:00am - 4:30pm (8 hours)
What We Are Looking For

This is an entry-level position. No experience is necessary. Applicants will be working in a coworking space, performing a variety of operational tasks and customer-facing work. We value individuals that bring energy, enthusiasm, and attention to detail to the workplace. Our staff is outgoing, approachable, communicative, and always learning, and we are looking for candidates who share these traits. Past coworking, hospitality, or service industry is a plus but not required.

Role Description

The TPC Community Operations Associate will be responsible for creating & maintaining a welcoming, professional environment for both members and guests. They will work with the Community Manager to create a thriving coworking environment by performing closing duties, day-to-day business tasks, and working with customers to solve problems and answer questions.

Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Training

Trainees will build competencies on the job, working with the community manager at their location to add new skills and responsibilities each week. The full training rotation will usually take about two months and areas of focus will be organized into 5-6 modules:

  • Week 1 - Business basics, opening and closing duties
  • Week 2-3 - Facilities, systems and software
  • Week 4 - Mail service operations
  • Week 5-6 - Conference room bookings, management
  • Week 7-8 - Customers tours, customer interaction, issue resolution
