OVERVIEW

The Operations Associate is a key member of the store team, responsible for driving profitability and efficiency. The role involves working closely with the Operations & Visual Management team to initiate, complete tasks, and provide feedback to support optimal store operations.

Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Execute inventory management processes effectively, focusing on maximizing accuracy and reducing shrinkage.
  2. Investigate and address inventory accuracy issues, collaborating with the General/Store Manager to escalate process or system gaps.
  3. Support key operational functions including shipment, receiving, processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intra-day replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management.
  4. Maintain and promote high visual standards on the sales floor.
  5. Coordinate with reporting, budgeting, expenses, inventory control, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities to ensure optimal operation.
  6. Support a safe and efficient work environment through proper stockroom standards and processes.
  7. Move dynamically around the store to assess and meet the needs of the business, team, and guests.
  8. Implement company directives, projects, and initiatives in partnership with the Operations & Visual Management team.
  9. Assist in processing shipments and ensuring product flow, including visual merchandising and replenishment.
  10. Leverage metrics to support business strategies, demonstrating strong business acumen.
  11. Resolve customer needs promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  12. Communicate inventory concerns and needs to support business goals.
  13. Perform tasks that keep the store clean, safe, inviting, and operational, including movement around the store and back of house.

Operations Associate Qualifications

  1. At least 1 year of experience in a client-focused, sales, or operational environment.
  2. Ability to move constantly within all store areas.
  3. Ability to lift, push, carry up to 50 pounds safely.
  4. Ability to bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and twist, including climbing ladders.
  5. Ability to stand and move throughout an entire shift.
  6. Passion for customer service and delivering excellent experiences.
  7. Self-motivated with a results-driven attitude and team orientation.
  8. Alignment with Alo’s Guiding Principles.

Schedule

Part-Time associates are expected to work up to 30 hours per week, with a minimum shift of 4 hours. Full-Time associates should have open availability, 7 days a week, 32-40 hours. All employees must be able to work during the holiday blackout period from Thanksgiving week through early January.
