Job description

The Mutual Funds Trade Support Operations Associate is responsible for a variety of departmental administrative functions while gaining a solid understanding of the firm's mutual fund offerings, trading systems, and team responsibilities. This position requires collaboration among team members to execute departmental objectives under supervision and in accordance with established procedures.



What We're Looking For

  • Accurately perform job duties as directed by leadership, adhering to departmental procedures and guidelines.
  • Proficiently process, create, and enter data into systems used by Financial Advisors and branch staff.
  • Identify potential problems or issues and escalate them to department leadership when necessary.
  • Develop effective communication skills within the department.
  • Provide timely updates on job responsibilities to leadership.
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Monitor mutual fund orders for compliance with fund and company policies.
  • Review previous day's front-end load purchases for proper pricing and sales charge waivers.
  • Review previous day's trades for NAV Repurchase/Transfer opportunities.
  • Process trade corrections for prior day's front-end load purchases and NAV transfers as needed.
  • Provide CDSC hypothetical calculations.
  • Review previous day's systematic purchases/withdrawals for proper setup, including order type, CDSC waivers, and share class.
  • Assist branch personnel with order and correction inquiries, providing clear verbal and written communication with Financial Advisors, branch staff, and vendors.

  • Strong attention to detail to minimize risk.
  • Initiative and self-direction in task performance, with effective organization and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to handle large workloads during peak periods.
  • Ability to work autonomously based on performance criteria provided by leadership.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum: 0-2 years of professional business-related experience.

Systems & Technology

  • Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office products.
