As our Operations Associate, Coverage Detection, you help resolve open healthcare claims by verifying insurance coverage and eligibility for patients with commercial or government health insurance plans. Every day you will review open claims and research insurance coverage. To thrive in this role, you should be motivated to meet production quotas and have strong attention to detail. Prior experience in healthcare administration will be useful but is not required.
Here’s what you will experience working as an Operations Associate, Coverage Detection:
Research patient health insurance coverage via payer portals, phone calls to insurance companies, and hospital software platforms
Collaborate and communicate cross-functionally and with management to respond to client and stakeholder inquiries and escalate any issues
Utilize R1, payer, and client software platforms (i.e., Epic) to manage account information and workflow
Required Skills:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent AND either work experience or post-secondary education in medical billing or health information
Comfortable being on the phone (approx. 25%) and performing repetitive data review
Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills
