Job summary

Army Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) is seeking personnel to assist in operating a government facility at Fort Irwin, CA. The role involves handling cash receipts, verifying counts, and ensuring compliance with procedures.

The candidate will help manage inventories, support party setups, and monitor security and safety during shifts. Responsibilities include assisting bartenders, generating daily activity reports, and performing pre-shift safety checks.

Duties

• Assists management with the operation of facility in accordance with established procedures.
• Issues, receives and controls cash receipts and change funds; verifies cash count of funds turned in by cashiers. Determines cash shortage or overages.
• Assures only authorized patrons utilize the facilities. Submits daily report of operations. Assists in setting up parties according to party plan.
• May assist bartenders in setting up bars and/or cashier's bag. Completes Daily Activity Report. Completes fire safety checks and secures the facility.
• Monitor inventories, place and receive food and beverage orders using Food track or similar software. Performs other duties as assigned.

Conditions of employment

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
• Must be willing to work rotating shifts to include days, nights, weekends and holidays

A Qualified Candidate Must Possess The Following

• Progressively responsible duties in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody or other processing of cash items.
• Where duties involve selling alcoholic beverages applicant must meet state/local age (21) requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment
• Skill in providing customer service.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
