Job summary

Army Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) seeks a full-time facility operations assistant to support day-to-day cash handling, patron safety, and event setup on site. You will manage cash receipts, verify counts, and assist bartenders and cashiers as needed.

You will also conduct fire safety checks, oversee inventory, and place orders using Food track or similar software, while maintaining daily activity reporting and adherence to mission requirements.

Qualifications

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
  • Position, duty hours, location and/or activity are subject to change based on mission requirements.
  • Work hours may involve weekends, weekdays, holidays and night duty.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
  • Incumbent may be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
  • May be required to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures only authorized patrons utilize the facilities and submits daily operation reports.
  • Sets up parties per plan and assists bartenders or cashiers as needed; completes Daily Activity Reports.
  • Performs fire safety checks, secures the facility, and may monitor inventories; places and receives food and beverage orders using Food track or similar software.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Duties


  • Assists management with the operation of facility in accordance with established procedures. Issues, receives and controls cash receipts and change funds; verifies cash count of funds turned in by cashiers. Determines cash shortage or overages.

  • Assures only authorized patrons utilize the facilities. Submits daily report on operations. Assists in setting up parties according to party plan. May assist bartenders in setting up bars and/or cashier’s bag. Completes Daily Activity Report.

  • Completes fire safety checks and secure the facility. May monitor inventories, place and receive food and beverage orders using Food track or similar software.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

A Qualified Candidate Must Possess The Following


  • Progressively responsible duties in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody or other processing of cash items.

  • Where duties involve selling alcoholic beverages applicant must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment.

  • Skill in providing customer service.

  • Ability to communicate effectively.

Allowances and Differentials


  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.

  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
