Job summary

Talentify seeks a hands-on supervisor for the Peak & Pine Plains Bowling Center at Fort Drum. You will oversee restaurant operations, support serving, hosting, or cooking during peak hours, and help set the pace for smooth service in a busy military recreation environment.

Job description

This position is located at The Peak & Pine Plains Bowling Center. Join our team at the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum. We are dedicated to enhancing the lives of Soldiers and their Families by providing essential support services, including child and youth programs and a variety of recreational activities that directly contribute to Soldier readiness and well-being.

Duties

• Provides hands-on supervision of all restaurant operations, occasionally assisting with serving, hosting, or cooking to set the pace and ensure a smooth workflow during peak hours.
• Enforces operational standards by ensuring staff follow established schedules, recipes, and procedures, while also monitoring guest flow and service ticket times to maintain consistency.
• Manages the guest experience by providing information, conducting table visits to ensure satisfaction, and maintaining order, seeking assistance from military police when necessary.
• Handles administrative and financial duties, including overseeing cash and inventory, supervising employee timekeeping and performance reporting, and performing opening/closing security checks.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one-year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with Army Regulation 215-3.
• This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation.
• A food handler’s certificate is required.
• Work requires the ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Work schedule will be irregular. The incumbent will be required to work, nights, weekends, holidays, and/or unique events.
• A physical examination, arranged by the employer, is required prior to employment.
• Must be willing to accept intermittent, on-call employment.
• Management reserves the right to reassign employees to other facilities.
