Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Maintain store areas to company standards, including recovery and organization.
• When the Store Manager is not present, supervise hourly associates.
• Process all corporate directives and store communications.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales floor effectiveness.
• Manage cashiering activities in accordance with cash handling practices and guidelines.
• Optimize promotional displays and seasonal areas.
• Coordinate signage and manage store supplies and expenses.
• Maintain checkout area to maximize impulse sales.
• Refill coolers and displays daily, including special programs like balloons, sunglasses, and batteries.
• Assist with weekly scheduling and store merchandising.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
