Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Maintain store areas to company standards, including stockroom and sales floor, with proper recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not present, take direct supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
8. Process all corporate directives related to store activities, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
11. Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
12. Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines.
13. Enhance promotional effectiveness through store fixtures and displays.
14. Manage seasonal sales areas and coordinate signage.
15. Handle damaged merchandise daily.
16. Assist in creating weekly schedules.
17. Manage store supplies and control expenses.
18. Maintain checkout area and merchandise displays to maximize sales.
19. Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily, including balloons, sunglasses, batteries, etc.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
