Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Maintain all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not on the premises, assume direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates.
8. Process all corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information, and other store-related communications.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies and procedures.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage daily and that the sales floor is sales-effective.
11. Manage cashiering activities to ensure compliance with cash handling practices and guidelines.
12. Coordinate store signage and manage seasonal display effectiveness.
13. Process damaged merchandise daily.
14. Assist with weekly schedule creation and manage store supplies and expenses.
15. Maintain checkout area merchandising to maximize impulse sales.
16. Refill coolers and storefront displays daily, including balloon programs, sunglasses, batteries, etc.

• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
