Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, staff, and supervisors.
• Maintain store areas to company standards, including recovery of stockroom and sales floor.
• When the Store Manager is absent, take supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
• Follow directives related to store activities, including processing merchandise and store communications.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales effectiveness daily.
• Manage cashiering activities in line with company cash handling practices.
• Coordinate store signage and promotional displays.
• Process damaged merchandise daily.
• Assist in creating weekly schedules and managing store supplies and expenses.
• Maintain the checkout area to maximize impulse sales and ensure replenishment of store-front displays.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
