Responsibilities

• Assist with all operational tasks within the store as delegated by the Store Manager, focusing on front-end and sales floor operations.
• Support hiring, training, and development of store associates.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment for customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Ensure all areas of the store meet company standards, including recovery of stockrooms and sales floors.
• When the Store Manager is not present, oversee hourly associates.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales effectiveness daily.
• Manage cashiering activities, ensuring cash handling practices are followed.
• Coordinate store signage and merchandising, including seasonal areas and impulse sales displays.
• Assist with store supplies management and expense control.
• Maintain the checkout area and ensure coolers and displays are replenished daily.
• Assist in creating weekly schedules.

Minimum Requirements

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
