Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Follow all policies and safety guidelines
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment for customers, staff, and supervisors
• Keep all store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery
• When the Store Manager is absent, oversee hourly Associates
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily
• Help maintain sales effectiveness on the sales floor and seasonal areas
• Manage cashiering activities ensuring proper cash handling practices
• Coordinate signage and manage promotional displays
• Assist with merchandise management, including damaged goods processing
• Help create weekly schedules and manage store supplies and expenses
• Maintain checkout area to maximize impulse sales and ensure stock levels of promotional items

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
• Ability to lift and transport merchandise up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment
