Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager
• Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors
• Maintain all areas of the store to company standards, including recovery
• When the Store Manager is not present, have direct supervisory responsibility for hourly associates
• Process all directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise following VIP and DSD policies
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily
• Manage cashiering activities to follow all cash handling practices and guidelines
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for store effectiveness
• Manage seasonal sales areas and appropriate signage
• Process damaged merchandise daily
• Assist with weekly scheduling
• Manage store supplies and control expenses
• Maintain checkout area to maximize impulse sales
• Refill coolers and front store displays daily

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
• Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment
