Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines
• Maintain a professional, friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors
• Keep all store areas, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery
• When the Store Manager is absent, assume direct supervisory responsibility for hourly associates
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise following VIP and DSD policies
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily
• Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Manage seasonal sales areas
• Coordinate store signage
• Process damaged merchandise daily
• Assist with weekly staff scheduling
• Manage store supplies and control expenses
• Assist with merchandising and checkout area management to maximize impulse sales
• Refill coolers and display racks daily (e.g., balloons, sunglasses, batteries)

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
• Ability to lift and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment
