Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Follow all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, staff, and supervisors.
• Keep all store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is not present, oversee hourly Associates.
• Implement corporate directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information.
• Manage receipt and return of DSD merchandise following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
• Maintain sales effectiveness on the sales floor and manage cashiering activities following cash handling guidelines.
• Enhance promotional displays and manage seasonal areas.
• Coordinate signage and ensure store displays are replenished daily.
• Assist with scheduling, supplies management, and expense control.
• Support merchandising and maximize impulse sales at checkout.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift and transport merchandise up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
