Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Follow all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, staff, and supervisors.
• Keep all areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is absent, oversee hourly Associates.
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective each day.
• Manage cashiering activities, following cash handling practices and guidelines.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Manage seasonal store areas and signage.
• Handle damaged merchandise daily.
• Assist with weekly staff scheduling.
• Manage store supplies and control expenses.
• Assist with merchandising and checkout area to maximize impulse sales.
• Refill coolers and displays daily, including promotional items.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift and transport merchandise up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
